We’re welcoming Bernard Lin to My Inner Child Clinic.

Not as a fresh face to the work. Bernard is an experienced counsellor who understands what it means to keep going when things are not simple.

But as someone who has spent years carrying responsibility, both personally and professionally. As a husband, father, caregiver, entrepreneur and from a finance background, Bernard comes across as relatable, safe and someone who can understand and support our clients.

Bernard is trained in counselling and practises psychotherapy at the clinic.

His work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) and Brain-Switch. Techniques aside, the essence of his psychotherapy is his attentive, calming and approachable nature.

Safety and the therapeutic alliance is at the heart of our psychotherapy approach and the main reason why we are grateful that Bernard has joined.

Who Bernard works with

Bernard works with individuals experiencing burnout and chronic stress, especially those navigating workplace pressure, expectations, and fatigue.

He supports caregivers facing emotional exhaustion, including those caring for ageing parents while managing work and family.

He works with men exploring identity, self-esteem, and expectations around masculinity, particularly during life stage and career transitions.

He provides couples therapy using the Gottman Method, helping partners improve communication and reduce recurring conflict.

He also offers Christian counselling and faith-based therapy, for clients who want their beliefs to be part of the therapeutic process.

He is trained in the Gottman Method for couples work and integrates Christian perspectives where appropriate.

Bernard is now seeing clients at the clinic.
